This evening while waiting for commercials to end, I was flipping through the channels and stumbled upon something interesting on channel eight.
"Whee!" I thought excitedly. "Drag racing!" And happily tottered off to channel fifteen.
Drag racing does not mean what I think it means. This should become one of Bart Simpson's blackboard thingummies.

So, what have I done since last Friday? Let us review...

In More Or Less Chronological Order

- Received new Dungeon magazine. Felt like a poser as do not roleplay since elf fiasco a few years back, but pictures v. pretty.
- Talked to Kathryn on phone. Cannot make light of it.
- On Saturday, made bacon for first time since that time that I caused a greasefire. Was not very good, but am not daunted!
- Also on Saturday, watched Spirited Away. V. strange movie, pretty and whimsical and rather rambling, sort of an Alice's Adventures In Wonderland meets Japanese animation.
- On Sunday, Da came home from hospital. In pain, but still wanted to do laundry.
- Monday- finished filming Social Studies project. Large weight off mind- whee! Also, Pat looks v. nice in women's clothing. He himself does not think so, but is because he like most males has a masculine insecurity thing going on. Silly bint. At least is not a phobe.
- Also Monday- talked to Cait on phone. Told her and Stephanie bedtime story about Blinky the fish and his evil froggy genius friend, Mr. Frimp.
- Tuesday- read lovely book by name of Empress of the World. Kept on thinking to self, "This makes sense! Wow, this makes sense!" Now want to shave head, and possibly make puppet.
- Also on Tuesday, wrote something about creation of universe for science. V. fun- love big bang theory, and no, not just for the name. Discovered that human beings are in fact made of the same materials found in stars. How cool is that?
- P.E. today. Ugh, ugh, and more ugh. Michael shoved me onto third base first go, and shouted at me when neglected to notice that ball had rolled somewhere behind me. Cursed at him then ponced off to have sulk in girl's changing room. When came back, ended up on third base again but of own volition second time around. Go me!
Also, think baseball sure sign that western culture way too sexually repressed. Not only are there first, second, and third bases, you score. Think about it.

And one thinks that is about it.

So, yes, Empress of the World was good. Odd as I don't normally like romances, but this one, as I said, made sense. And it was written nicely, and for once the main females had personalities. (Possibly because there was no Typical Romance-y Generic Dude that they go all silly over. Unless you count Isaac, but he's too geeky and fun to be the TRGD.) Although admittedly I didn't like Battle much at the beginning- even I know that it's bad manners to hold your nose so pointedly whenever someone lights a cigarette. Still, loved that scene where she and Nic are acting out the parts of queen and lady in waiting. And I liked Katrina. (I want leggings that say 'fuck', dammit!)
Don't like wossname after the first half of the book, though- the musical one. I think his name starts with an M. After that he was all 'Oh, Battle, let me feel your head!' and 'Oh, Battle, let's randomly stroll around holding hands!' and 'Oh, Battle, let's snog so that Nic's poor tender heart shall break!' Nerk.
But it had a happy ending. *Sniffs.* I love decent happy endings. And decent sad endings. And decent cliffhangers.
And, gods curse it, now I have that song from Pinocchio stuck in my head- that 'give a little whistle' one.
Well, I guess that anything that drowns out my craving for Marilyn Manson (no, not like that, damned dream!) is good. Even if that cricket is the devil.

And I am posting quizzes (again!). Because I went on a Placebo binge. Also again.

You're a teenager. Enough said. You're confused and wonder what the hell are you doing here. Thinking about the Meaning of Life is on your everyday agenda. Under the influence of smokes, you might even come up with something interesting.

Take the fuckin' wonderful "Which Placebo song are you?" test created by amm, and browse through Random Blasphemies. Because I said so.

Yes, I know the picture doesn't load. Oh, well, we know Brian Molko's pretty, we don't need verification.
Teenage Angst, eh? One of my favourites from their first album. Not sure how well it fits me, though. And no smokes! *Wards off cigarettes and all other smokeable objects save for marshmallows.*
