Pirates vs. Ninjas.

Today is the first day of SJA's Fall Fest. Every day has a different theme, and they are almost uniformly crappy rah-rah school-spirit-oriented bullshit themes.
However.
Today was Pirates Versus Ninjas day.
And my English teacher dressed up like a ninja. In a costume previously worn by her son at age eight.
And threatened to kick all of our asses.

There are no words to describe how mind-blowingly AWESOME it was.
Ms. Alford said ass. That must be against the rules.

Why couldn't we have had that day when I was there?? I would've dressed up and everything. We have that day at camp every year and I'm always a pirate and we sang sea chanties and built the Black Pearl!

What is pirates vs. ninjas from, anyway? I though camp people made it up.

At the bus stop today, I saw a German lady who frighteningly resembled Ms. Alford. If she was a little worsely aged and dyed her hair a bright, Ronald Mcdonald red. Either way, I thought my high school years were coming back to haunt me, with copies of The Great Gatsby and The English Patient in hand.
