Beloved sitcom comes to a close; "about fucking time," says disgruntled spectator

The situational comedy Friends, which has been on television for a decade, will air its final two-hour episode this Thursday.
The sitcom, a light-hearted look into the world of six close friends and their loves and lives, has become intensely popular over its ten years, garnering over 40 million viewers worldwide. It has been dubbed into a wide selection of languages, including Czech and Polish, was nominated for 55 Emmys, and ran to 236 episodes. (Whether this last is the 236th or the 237th is unclear.)
Friends fans are distraught at the thought of the sitcom ending, an emotion that one vicious opponent to the show called "fucking disproportionate."
"They're only crying because they invested their fucking lives in a fucking sitcom," claims the angry young woman, who identifies herself only as "I hate that fucking show, man." "They tried to make up for their boring, pointless existence by watching something they thought was a little less boring and pointless. They wanted to live in a world like that, where everyone has nice hair and people gather for cozy chats in the local coffee house and no one ever knocks. And now that it's over, it's like they're having a midlife-fucking-crisis, because they're still not Phoebe, or Rachel, or Monica, and they know they never will be.
"And it wasn't even a good show!" rants the now-irate viewer, waving her arms like a gay man vogueing as this reporter frantically tries to divert her attention (and avoid being hit in the head with the hefty copy of Monstrous Regiment in her left hand). "The writing's crap and the jokes aren't funny and it's impossible to care about the characters. And the sets are fucking UGLY. And that Fat Monica, what was that shit? Just another example of mainstream fatphobia. Not to mention all the fucking gay jokes. Jesus.
"And people are making a big fuss over this like it's fucking Buffy or something. Buffy, now, THAT was a good show. With continuity. And plot. Something that I'm sure the Friends writers have never heard of.
"Admittedly, they do deserve props for giving Winona Ryder a cameo as a lesbian, but her kissing that blonde chick was just a waste. I mean, come on. It's WINONA RYDER, man. Think some blonde chick can compare to the glory that is Winona? Well... pre-Mr. Deeds Winona anyway. Which gives me a new question- how much crack was she on when she decided to act in that movie?"
At this point this reporter managed to distract the young woman with a cry of "Look! Chocolate!"
A note was then made that one should not ask geeks about popular television. Particularly when they are distressed and armed with Pratchett.
