Little brother, singing: The wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round, round and round, the wheels on the bus go round and round, aaaaall through the ARMY!
Me, shocked: You're nine years old and you're already fantasizing about running the Army over with a bus?
Little brother, evidently quite pleased with himself: YES.

And then I told him stories about the French Revolution and Joan of Arc.

We got a new cat today, a ginger one with mad eyes who purrs like a jar full of marbles. He's in that very leggy wide-eyed stage of kittenhood. He also seems to like the Cars. Had a bit of trouble deciding on names, so he's now been christened Sloane Azrael Robespierre Biff. (Yes, we named a kitten after an online comic character, a demon, a revolutionary, and Jesus' best friend. Our dog's middle name is Phillip, so it could definitely be worse.)
Say hello, Sloane!

Sloane: u,h,h,h,h,h,h,h,h,h,h,h,h,h,h,h,h,hmkfggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg

Pope quoted as fearing Harry Potter blurs line between good and evil.
"It is good that you shed light and inform us on the Harry Potter matter, for these are subtle seductions that are barely noticeable and precisely because of that deeply affect (children) and corrupt the Christian faith in souls even before it could properly grow and mature."
*cracks up* "The Harry Potter Matter." That makes me think of the Pope sitting at the head of a dimly lit table surrounded by ominous hooded men. "So, Ratzinger. What shall we do about... the Harry Potter matter?"
(I really wish someone would alert the Church to His Dark Materials. Now that's proper subtle seduction that is barely noticeable and precisely because of that deeply affects children and corrupts the Christian faith even before it can properly grow and mature.)

Okay, anyone remember that movie with Michael Pitt and Asia Argento that isn't about Kurt Cobain, certainly not, how dare you sir? The one that I had a brief epileptic fit over last summer when I heard about it?
I finally found a trailer for it. And it looks good.
*flails very quietly*
