I think a lot of kids go through phases where they try really, really hard to fit their gender roles. I've tried to fit into both ends of the spectrum, with varying degrees of success- I was never all that good at it, to be honest, even when I was in a dress and playing with Barbies. Partially because my Barbies were pretty much superheroes in a soap opera.
And you are definitely in that filter. You're one of the first people I ever came out to, dude. :)
