What is one thing you wish you could do, but no matter how hard you try, you can't? (Like me, I wish I could sing, but alas I cannot carry a tune in a bucket.) Why?

I want very badly to learn how to play an instrument and start a revolutionary band that will change the face of the earth forever.
Unfortunately, I can't, because my motor skills are too poor for guitar or bass and I don't have the sense of rhythm necessary to play drums. Plus I'm a klutz- I tried to teach myself how to play acoustic guitar once... and I broke it.

How do you feel about people who find your entries quite interesting and/or amusing, and would like to friend you, but are aware that this all sounds quite stalker-ish?

I'd say that it doesn't sound stalker-ish at all- there are people whose journals I read but don't add to my friend's list, either because they don't update enough or because I'm just way too in awe of them. ([livejournal.com profile] eljuno is a prime example of the latter.)

You asked to see it, so here it is. :D I decided to post it here for convenience, so I hope that's fine. It's a pretty crappy scan, but it was all I needed for my icon. If you check my layout, it's all from the same artist. :D

Ooooooh, it gets so much better than that when you read the comics! Actually.. I think I have some of the funner panels scanned in, if you were interested.

I'm quite fond of comics. What are they about, in a nutshell?

The stories change frequently, but they're all linked together by a little doll named Annabelle, who tells the tales. They usually involve someone going on a killing spree or insane, but Serena Valentino has done spinoffs of Little Red Riding Hood, Beauty & The Beast, and has also made her own stories to tell.

You seem like a mighty nifty person! Would you mind if I added you to my lj?

Ooh, fun! Reminds me a lot of Lenore.

Not at all, I have an open friending policy. :)

If reincarnation is real, what were you in a past life?

on 2005-06-16 02:43 pm (UTC)
Posted by [identity profile] ishyface.livejournal.com
I have a theory (although it's not really mine) that if reincarnation is real and time is relative then one person can be two people at once. Taken further, everybody is everybody, past, present, and future.
So that's who.

What is your name? What is your quest? What is your favorite color?

on 2005-06-17 01:39 am (UTC)
Posted by [identity profile] ishyface.livejournal.com
My name varies, depending on who you ask. El is the most comfortable.
My quest is to answer every mystery of the universe, then have a really good cup of tea.
And my favourite colour... well, my favourite SHADE is black. My favourite actual colour is green.

how was the places and how are the people? did you think of something good to talk about?

on 2005-06-17 01:45 am (UTC)
Posted by [identity profile] ishyface.livejournal.com
The places were... usual. The people were in good spirits, and forced me into Bowie-esque silver eyeshadow.
At the moment I'm thinking about tomorrow. I told Mum about it- quel surpris, I tell my mother fucking everything- and she's freaking out. "It's too expensive! You'll miss the bus! They won't let you in!"
And so forth.
(What's happening tomorrow, anyway?)

Posted by [identity profile] tentertaining.livejournal.com
That's usual. :D after i type this i'm looking up a pic of Bowie and his dialated eye.
Tell her, no worries, it's not too expensive, It's on me. My moms gonna drive us in, we won't be taking a bus. If they don't let us in... we'll take the farry back to halifax and go to venus envy or the candy store or something.
(Your going to Jill's afterwards? Is that in timberlea?)

on 2005-06-17 02:00 am (UTC)
Posted by [identity profile] ishyface.livejournal.com
It is damn near impossible to find any decent shots of Bowie's eye. I have a magazine that shows it pretty well- this big tribute thing with a frillion reviews and photos. I've read it way too many times for someone who never lived through the 70s. :)
That is really far too generous of you. I may have to be stubbornly independent and pay for myself.
I told her about getting a drive. She said "mrrrrrrrrrphnrrrgles'good." (She's sleepy.) And that's very relieving, because I was working out an elaborate plan to get one bus then another bus then the ferry and make my way through downtown Dartmouth... and possibly pass myself off as a Bible salesman, just for kicks.
I haven't taken the ferry in a long time. And it is my personal opinion that even if we do get in, we should take the ferry back across. Way more fun.
Yeah, that's in Timberlea.
(When you asked me if I thought of something to talk about before, did you mean at the doctor's? Because if so: sailed RIGHT over my head.)

we all suck at planning things out neatly

Yeah, i just figured that out. If i was a photo person i'd be all over his eyes.
It is not. I just realized I have five weeks worth of paychecks sitting in my room.
Sorry, i probally should have said soemthing about the drives, although busses are fun. last time i ended up tearing my transfer up into a many pieces and had to buy another ticket :) I can't wait to see you in your suit :).
I totally and completly agree, i don't remember taking the farry accross ever, but i think i did when i was a kid, just didn't know where i was.
well it looks as if the group camping thing isn't working out (see ryan's new post) and now i don't know what the hell i'm gona do. But I'm sure we can get you dropped of at ze party.
(yeah, that's what I meant, but i had already forgotten i asked)
Posted by [identity profile] ishyface.livejournal.com
Is too.
It's okay, I probably should have asked at some point, but I figured your car was already full-up. Much like a clown car. But seeing as how 'most everybody else decided to be dicks and pull out (*cue five minutes of inappropriate giggling*) I am fully prepared to take shameful advantage of your automobile. :) Are you gonna wear the bowtie? Because I definitely think you should.
We used to take the ferry all the time when we lived in Dartmouth- we didn't have a car so it was the cheapest way to get across the harbour. I used to pretend I was on a pirate ship. In fact, if I went on it today I'd probably still pretend it was a pirate ship.
If not I can walk. That's what I did today... and my pants got wet. So I needed to borrow some of Jill's. They had posies on 'em. I have since decided that posies Do Not Suit Me.
(Oh, we talked about a lot of things. Gender and sexuality were two of the sticklers today, that and different forms of social prejudice. And Joanna. I got a handy-dandy GLBT fact-file-resource-type-thingy, too.)

didn't knotice the knotification

I always think i say stuff or mention things i don't. Most of the people are only pulling out of the camping thing, but (*giggles*) it sucks. I don't know if I'm driving anyone else or what...
heh. kay. i will. :P
Pirate ships are fun. When I was like 10 or 12 someone told me that pirates were real, and i didn't beleive them, I thought they were totally "fictonal". I'll try to pretend with you.
he he. posie pants. I'll probally end up going to friends-house-who-fucked-up camping, because its the freaking end of exams! the year! we are graduating next year! -we are going camping later on, when it might not rain, and everyone, including you can make it-
(Ooo, i love reading in 'sexual' panflits and stuff like that, it makes me feel so imformed, and knowlegable. My mom gave me a book before puberty and i remeber her telling me not to read the whole thing :P...)

Ohhh, okay. I thought it was like a mass anti-Perla exodus. Complete with Red Sea parting and pharaohs.
You'd better!
I never believed that pirates were real either. They just seemed way too cool.
Ahhhh don't mention graduation I'm too young to graduate nonononono. *covers ears*
(My mum never was one for book-learnin'. She just sat us down- I think I was seven at the time- and said something along the lines of "This is how you do it. Now that you know how, DON'T." I didn't find out until a few years later that there were several important details omitted.)
Must go to bed now. See you tomorrow!

I'd be so mad if it was.
*excited to see it* damn, my brother came in and i asked him if i could borrow it, but then it appears to not be a bow tie. bow ties are just so much cooler. I wonder where i can buy one on souch short notice?
I thought they were supposed to be making a coupple more PIRATES of the Carribean Movies?
heh, never again. :D
(my mom never gave me the sex talk at all. it was more like... thank god for the schoolboard. And I also thank the schoolboard, how aquard)
okay! good night!
