Is it bad that today I caught myself listening to a Cyndi Lauper song and thinking "Man, this is EXACTLY how I feel right now"?

And no, it was NOT Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.

P.S.: At the stroke of midnight it will be a week until my birthday.
Everyone has SURPRISE things going on. Makes me feel sort of left out.

I'll say it depends on the Cyndi Lauper. For a folkie, I have an uncharacteristic liking for certain bits of audio-candy with few redeeming features besides their cheerfulness. (And easily-warped lyrics- in the house of Kris and Devin, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun is more popularly known as Squirrels Just Wanna Have Fun. Of course.)

Also, I have no SURPRISE things going on, so rest assured, you're not the only one who feels a bit left out.
