A 22-year-old Nebraska man has been charged with sexual assault after he impregnated a 13-year-old girl and then took her to Kansas to get married.

These family values people, the ones who claim to prevent the complete decay of wholesome American life, are saying that what happened to this girl wasn't rape. That the fucker who did it deserves to raise her child. That it would be better for the kid- or rather both of the kids, mother and child- if they got married. To protect this fucking abstract notion of what they call The Family.
Oh, and:
... as with all fornication punishment, it might have a deterrent effect on other people doing what this guy did, which was only following his libido, after all.
You know, I don't know about you guys, but most adult men I know don't "follow their libidos" to FUCKING THIRTEEN-YEAR-OLDS. Jesus Christ, that's only a year older than my baby sister.)
And they're calling us perverts. They're saying that we have no morals.
God, if there is one, has a fucking sick sense of humour.
(Also, just for the record: I love the fact that they consider thirteen-year-olds "too young and immature" to terminate a pregnancy- as with that case with the thirteen-year-old Floridian in April, when the Department of Children and Families had her decision to get an abortion blocked- but all of a sudden decide they're big grown-up ladies who can make their own choices when those choices are the Right Ones. And by "love" I mean "my God I want to set everything on fire right now.")
