Firefly nights and sweet tea mornings. Fog stealing up on us and sudden. Dark rooms, dark faces. Fireworks past ten and a bloody moon. Long drives home when the perfect song makes getting lost that much better.

It's all so fucking amazing sometimes.

Nasturtium's a nice word. (So's veridian.) What do they taste like?

The garden sounds like a marvelous idea. I approve heartily of inviting the outside inside.

I've been pretty okay! Some wonderful things have been happening, and they mostly cancel out the less-than-wonderful. On clear nights when boys plant bottle rockets you can hear them curse from halfway across the lake and then you fall asleep in the most comfortable of chairs. And there's music hidden in the marrow of things.

Good to hear that wonderful things have been happening. I wholeheartedly approve. And now I want details!

Nasturtiums? taste PEPPERY. Sorta like watercress. The poor lad was rather taken back, I'm afraid, but it's understandable. They don't taste the way you'd expect a flower to taste, really. Nevertheless, they're one of my favourite things for salads ad if I can grow them indoors, I will be happy as the proverbial camper.

Oh, details! They're all a little hazy in my mind, I think, but good things are in the mix. Songs and secrets and things of that sort. :D

Ooh, peppery! That does seem an unexpected sort of taste for a flower. (The proverbial camper is very happy indeed.)
