I swear, everything that comes up lately, they find a way to blame the black community. Bad economy? Well, it's from giving loans to those poor black people who can't pay them back!! I actually like Dan Savage's column, because he usually just tells it like it is. It's hilarious when he talks down people who are acting immature and stupid about sex and relationships.

But that don't mean he's also not an asshole at times. He's the cream of the gay crop and a poster child for white, male and nearly normative enough to be totally vanilla type of "gay" which the HRC loves to embrace because it doesn't scare mainstream America. Blah.

Asexuality doesn't exist, bisexuals will always (always! always! always!) end up in heterosexual marriages, no real gay dude would ever sleep with a transman, if someone fetishizes you for your race you should sleep with them anyway because how else are you going to get laid...

But whenever the subject is something like race, or transsexuality, or bisexuality, or vaginas, or not wanting to give head, or not wanting to have sex at all... he tends to be pretty douchey. His version of "sex-positivity" is a really unnerving mix of "anything goes!" and "... but not that, ew."

He's like the girl in that nursery rhyme: when he's good he's very very good, and when he's bad he does shit like this and I want to punch him in the throat.

(Except I don't think that's actually how that rhyme ends.)

True enough. He did have a semi decent FTM panelish week where FTMs weighted in about a creepy gay dude who wanted to "fuck [our] hot sexy wetness" or "transguy pie" or something weird (which meant he was a chaser, obviously). And Sherman Alexie guested as advice sounding board once. Only to have Dan ignore anything he suggested. *eyeroll*

But his version of sexy positivity is dubious at best, considering he's probably never been in a situation that would squick him, or, he would allow himself to admit he'd been squicked.
