1) I really hate the "human nature" thing because whatever we do IS our nature. I think we need clearer terms. & "What would we do without social contract?" Apparently, as seen all over the world, make social contracts.
2) you don't know where I've grown up; I've never even met you! but you're right, I am from the US (Iranian-American) :P
3) I haven't read very much of Hobbes's actual work at all, just throwing that out there
4) Do you think looking at the behavior of children or unsocialized persons is a good way to check out this issue? How could we possibly consider humanity in a vacuum anyway?
