young lovers and they are not sleeping

Every now and again I get the strongest urge to update my LJ. This usually happens when I am at work and have a line of twenty-seven customers, and so all I can do is sigh and hope that I remember it later. Usually by the time I get home I'll have forgotten whatever brilliant thing I was going to say about school or puppies or string cheese or whatever I was thinking about.
You are not really missing much, to be totally honest.
Today I got that urge and realized hey, I am sitting at my laptop! With a Notepad window open, even! And so I started to type a beautiful entry about what I am doing, where I feel my life is going, and what I am looking forward to in the months to come. It was pretty great.
Then I dropped my computer on the floor and had to restart it without getting the chance to save what I'd written. So it goes.*
I am graduating soon even though I thought I'd be an undergrad forever for some reason. My thoughts on that: Huh. I am going to take a year off to work so I can go to grad school in Halifax and become a foxy librarian.** My thoughts on that: Yay? I am currently working as a cashier in a grocery store. My thoughts on that: Eh. I no longer have blue hair and want to stretch my ears. My thoughts on that: Yay! I am going to get married in the near(ish) future. My thoughts on that: <333 I am pretty psyched about my life right now even if I don't have a pony yet. My thoughts on that: winning.
Here is what I look like now:

Startled hipster is startled.
Here is what I looked like in seventh grade, on picture day:

Resigned plump kid is resigned.
Aaaaaand here is a Mother Mother video:
I don't even know.
It was a lot more affecting the first time I wrote it. I hope.
What is up with everyone else?
* I believe Vonnegut meant the phrase to be used in instances such as these.
** In order to get into library school I will have to write an entrance essay. I am wondering if I should mention in mine that my desire to become a librarian is due nearly entirely to
a) the profession's sexy reputation;
b) books, books, all the time books; and
c) Rachel Weisz's character in The Mummy.
