I am Jack's smirking revenge.

Today I watched Fight Club for the very first time. Twenty minutes in, I shook my head and thought, Dude, this movie slashes itself.
And whaddaya know, I was right.
The Interview went very well. The only thing that's holding me back here is the fact that they can't get ahold of any of my references. Other than that, things look good.
Apparently the 91% average was what convinced them. This is why people who say that grades don't matter are fucking liars.
Everyone who isn't listening to the Dresden Dolls should go and do it now. I bought their album on Friday and it's fucking incredible. Amanda Palmer is going into my list of Best Songwriters Ever. (And Best Piano Players Ever, but that list is a lot shorter- the only other people on it are Rufus Wainwright, Tori Amos, and Mr. I-Sing-For-Something-Corporate.) Plus also, they perform in whiteface and wear very stripy socks. And write songs about Jeeps and war and robot boys.
Even my mom likes them. And we haven't agreed on anything musical since she discovered that we both liked David Bowie.
Today is very blustery and lowering. I like it. We haven't had a good solid rainy day in a long while.

Unless, of course, you're talking about something completely different and I'm just slow on the uptake. Always a possibility!

on 2005-05-03 09:03 pm (UTC)I borrowed Pulp Fiction from a friend of mine about a month ago. Watched the first hour or so and thought, "Hey, this is pretty cool." And I have not yet watched the rest. I'll have to try again.
YES. I have been trying to find Trainspotting for aaaaages. Anything else you want to see that I could get my hands on for you? I feel bad just borrowing and not lending.
