Have I ever mentioned that I love the video for "First Day Of My Life"? Well, I do. And for at least three very good reasons.

- It's a song by Bright Eyes.
- It was directed by John Cameron Mitchell.
- It's got Daniela Sea in it. And she doesn't have to act, just sit there and appreciate her lady friend. So it's win-win for everyone.

My favourite moment is the pregnant woman with the headphones on her stomach.

Awwww...and yet another example of how awesome Daniela Sea is pretty excellent, as long as she's not supposed to, you know, act or anything.

I really wish she could act, because she seems like a highly groovetastic individual. Like she'd be fun to hang out and watch movies with.

Yes! I might invite her to my fictional Best Party Ever. I want to like her so much, but she's just not...compelling as an actress.

Out of curiousity, who else is invited to this Best Party Ever? (I'd invite Susan Sarandon.)

Heh...it's a pretty extensive guest list. [livejournal.com profile] tryoliancorsair and I worked it out one night. Some of the highlights are Kurt Wild, Arthur Stewart, Judith Butler and her partner, Henry Rollins, Chrissie Hynde (who comes early to help cook), several Bollywood stars, several other academics, and some very assorted people. We never wrote it out, which I'm regretting right now...
